Aluminium Rail Glass Measurement & Ordering Instructions

CSW Railings has the following suggestions when measuring for your custom glass for your aluminium railing systems. Please refer to the installation instructions for proper measurements and take-offs needed for our aluminium rail glass railing systems.

A) Standard Glass Railing:
Measure from inside post to inside post and subtract 2″. Find the glass height by measuring from the bottom of the top rail to the top of the bottom rail with rubber gaskets installed, then add 7/8″.

B) Topless Aluminium Rail:
After the glass insert is placed into the U-channel bracket, measure from rubber face to rubber face without placing the tape measure past the rubber face of the gasket, then add 1 1/2″. The glass height will be 42″ minus the measurement from the ground to the bottom of the U-channel bracket.

C) Urban Aluminium Rail:
Measure the distance between the pickets and subtract 2″. Find the glass height by measuring from the bottom of the top rail to the top of the bottom rail with rubber gaskets installed, then add 7/8″.

D) Tall Privacy Glass (Aluminium Rail):
Measure from inside post to inside post and subtract 2″ for the glass width. Find the glass height by measuring from the bottom of the top rail to the top of the bottom rail with rubber gaskets installed, then add approximately 7/8
